AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran’s Ambassador to Turkey, Mohammad-Hassan Habibzadeh, has reaffirmed Tehran’s support for any initiative aimed at eliminating terrorism and enhancing security among neighboring countries.
During a meeting with Okay Memis, the secretary general of Turkey’s National Security Council, in Ankara on Saturday, Habibzadeh emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation between Tehran and Ankara, particularly in advancing regional peace and stability.
According to IRNA, both officials agreed that strengthening security collaboration between the two nations is crucial for addressing shared threats.
Their discussions also covered ongoing developments in Syria, as well as the status of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States regarding Tehran’s nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions.
Additionally, Tehran has welcomed the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK)’s recent announcement to disband and end its armed struggle against Turkey, expressing optimism that this decision will contribute to greater regional peace and stability.
